I designed and built this website for my Reiki business with the goal of creating a space that could support multiple aspects of the brand, including online product sales, client booking, educational content, and blogging. The branding assets, logo, color palette, and imagery were already established, so my focus was on bringing the brand's vision to life through thoughtful design, functionality, and user experience.
After evaluating the business requirements, I chose Squarespace as the platform because it provided the flexibility needed to manage e-commerce, appointment scheduling, blogging, and content management within a single system.
The essence of the brand is mystical, ethereal, enchanting, elegant, and feminine. To capture this feeling, I incorporated soft curved section dividers, flower petal-inspired button shapes, delicate typography, and floral imagery throughout the site. Every design decision was made to create a welcoming and magical experience while maintaining a clean, intuitive user journey.
Beyond the visual design, I structured the site to support SEO best practices by optimizing page titles, headings, metadata, image alt text, internal linking, and content organization. This helped improve search visibility while ensuring visitors could easily find information about services, products, events, and educational resources.
Once development was complete, I conducted comprehensive quality assurance testing across desktop and mobile devices to ensure responsive design, accessibility, usability, and overall site performance.
